Welcome to Mark’s Art and Faith. Here I share key information about my faith journey and my journey as an amateur artist. I have very little formal training in art (as you may find obvious), but I read a lot and watch lots and lots of tutorials. I retired from software engineering in 2019 and recently my old love for painting came back in full strength. Most of my paintings here are the result of looking at other artists work or following their tutorials – that is how I am learning. I hope you find this intersting, however, my posts are very much for my own use to help remind me where I have been and where I am headed as an artist. (I rarely refer to myself as an artist, but I’ve been inspired by reruns of the “The Pretender” TV show and I’m having a lot of fun pretending to be an artist – just in case some purests of some sort don’t think I deserve the title.)
